Privacy Policy
Protecting your data matters to us. Here you'll find a transparent overview of which data we process and what rights you have.
This privacy policy applies to the website goldcheck.app and the Goldcheck service operated by 1daily AG. We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revDSG) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing is 1daily AG, [Address], Switzerland. Contact: [email protected]. Full details can be found in our Legal Notice.
2. Data we collect
- Waitlist data: the email address you provide.
- Contact requests: your name, email address and the content of your message.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, referrer URL and time of access (server log files).
- Usage and analytics data: if you consent, pseudonymous information about how you use the site (see Section 6).
3. Purposes & legal bases
We process your data for the following purposes:
- Managing the waitlist and notifying you about the product launch, based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Responding to enquiries, based on our legitimate interest or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b)/(f) GDPR).
- Operating, securing and improving the website, based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Reach analysis and advertising measurement, only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Waitlist & email (Mailjet)
When you join the waitlist, we store your email address to inform you about the launch of Goldcheck and any related conditions. You can unsubscribe at any time, via the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to [email protected]. We do not send spam and do not pass your address on to third parties for advertising purposes.
To send these emails we use Mailjet, a service operated by Mailjet SAS (a Sinch company), 13–13 bis rue de l'Aubrac, 75012 Paris, France. Mailjet processes the data required for delivery (such as your email address and dispatch metadata) on our behalf as a processor, with servers located in the European Union. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Mailjet in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
5. Hosting & log files (AWS)
Our website and service are hosted in the cloud infrastructure of Amazon Web Services (AWS), provided by Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, 1855 Luxembourg. We operate our resources in EU data-centre regions wherever possible. When you access the site, technical access data is automatically stored in server log files; this is necessary to ensure operation and security. AWS acts as a processor on our behalf, and we have concluded a data processing agreement (including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) with AWS in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
6. Cookies, analytics & advertising (Google)
Goldcheck uses Google services to understand how the site is used and to measure advertising performance. These services are only activated once you have given your consent via our cookie banner. Until then, and if you decline, no analytics or advertising cookies are set. We implement Google Consent Mode v2, which keeps analytics and ad storage disabled by default until you consent.
- Google Analytics 4: a web analytics service that helps us understand site usage on a pseudonymous basis (e.g. pages viewed, approximate region, device type). IP addresses are processed in truncated/anonymised form.
- Google Ads & conversion tracking: measures the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns (for example, whether a visit followed an ad) and may be used for remarketing.
These services are provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (and, where applicable, Google LLC in the USA). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. For a detailed breakdown of the individual cookies and their storage periods, see our Cookie Policy.
7. International data transfers
Some of the providers we use (in particular Google) may process data in the USA or other countries outside Switzerland and the EU/EEA. In such cases we ensure appropriate safeguards, in particular the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where available, certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, so that an adequate level of data protection is maintained.
8. Sharing with third parties
We only share your data where this is necessary to provide our services (e.g. with the email and hosting providers named above as processors) or where we are legally obliged to do so. We do not sell your personal data.
9. Retention
We store personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes described above or as required by statutory retention obligations. Waitlist data is deleted as soon as you unsubscribe or the purpose no longer applies.
10. Your rights
Within the limits of applicable law, you have the right to:
- access the data stored about you,
- rectification of inaccurate data,
- erasure or restriction of processing,
- data portability and withdrawal of consent you have given,
- object to processing based on legitimate interests,
- lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (in Switzerland: the FDPIC; in the EU: your local data protection authority).
11. Contact
For information, requests or to exercise your rights, you can reach us at [email protected].
